Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Fully Qualified Line Mechanic in Connecticut to support the construction, operation, and maintenance of the electric system. The role requires climbing poles, overhead/underground work, and the ability to work aloft on structures; CDL is required, and rubber gloving up to 23KV is a must.

The salary starts at $56.32 per hour with progression under the union contract. Overtime and emergency restoration duties may be required, with reporting base within about a half hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL preferred with clean driving record.
• Must be able to climb poles and direct others.
• Overtime and emergency work availability required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, operate, and maintain the electric system.
• Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground lines and equipment.
• Work aloft on poles or on ground structures using lineman's climbers.
• Respond to emergencies and be available for restoration assignments.
