A leading company in automotive engineering is seeking a System Engineer to optimize Electric Drive Modules, focusing on eMotor, Power Inverter, and Gearbox design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, conducting trade-off studies and defining requirements for EDM systems to meet high efficiency and performance standards.
The Electric Drive Modules (EDMs) System Engineer is responsible for optimizing, designing, and defining the Best-in-Class (BIC) EDM system, including eMotor, Power Inverter, and Gearbox, to meet efficiency, performance, or cost targets based on vehicle requirements and constraints. The engineer will lead the development, improvement, and maintenance of EDM system design optimization processes and methodologies, considering electrical, mechanical, thermal, and NVH domains. The role involves conducting trade-off studies, evaluating design proposals, and recommending the best technical EDM designs. Additionally, the engineer will support fellow system engineers across multiple global programs, define requirements for EDM systems and their subcomponents, and participate in developing EDM technical roadmaps and concepts to meet technical specifications, lifecycle, and quality standards.
