Job summary

The Global Edge Consultants is seeking a Distribution Designer in The Woodlands, TX to design electric distribution facilities, perform staking, and prepare construction prints using industry software. The role involves field interaction with property owners and engineering resources, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in Electric Power Technology is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or certificate in Electric Power Technology preferred; 1–3 years distribution design experience acceptable.
• Must pass background check and drug screening; Texas driver’s license with insurable record.

Responsibilities

• Represent the client’s image when meeting property owners and other engineers and construction resources.
• Design distribution facilities for 4 kV to 35 kV and plan construction for overhead and underground systems.
• Perform distribution line design calculations and staking layouts; prepare construction prints and estimates.
• Secure easements and permitting as needed for projects.
• Mentor staff and ensure safety, reliability, operability, and constructability in final designs.
