Job summary

Global Edge Group is seeking a qualified Distribution Designer for our The Woodlands, TX office. The role supports distribution design/engineering across multiple states, producing field designs and construction prints in line with client standards.

The candidate will perform staking, project estimation, and use electronic design software, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Texas Driver's License with insurable driving record.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Associates degree or certificate in Electric Power Technology preferred; 1 year experience or 3 years prior experience in electric distribution design and estimation.

Responsibilities

• Represent the client’s image while meeting with property owners, other engineering firms and construction resources.
• Stay abreast with changing technologies, work planning, and design methodologies for Electric Distribution Design.
• Develop detailed scoping and engineering plans adhering to client standards.
• Perform distribution line design calculations for structure loading, guying, and sag interpretation.
• Handle easements, right of entry requests, and permitting as needed.
• Ensure safety, reliability, operability, and constructability in final designs.
