Clark Public Utilities seeks an Electric Distribution Designer to develop design drawings and estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial requests, including services, line extensions, and relocations. You will manage complex distribution projects and coordinate schedules across design, procurement, ROW, and surveying.
Requirements include 3+ years in commercial/industrial design or transmission projects, proficiency in Excel/Word/AutoCAD, and knowledge of NESC/NEC codes.
This position requires an in-depth knowledge of electrical design practices, basic understanding of electrical principles and effective analytical problem solving and project management skills. A minimum of 3 years' experience in the design of commercial/industrial extensions and services, or in transmission or large-scale distribution projects. Excellent computer skills with experience in Excel, Word and AutoCAD, as well as the ability to work with our internal work order, customer information, GIS, and estimating systems. Working knowledge of NESC and NEC codes and electrical industry standards. Outstanding interpersonal skills demonstrated leadership skills and a strong commitment to delivery of excellent customer service. Significant interaction with customers is required.

Employees are compensated within the established salary range. As skills, experience, and sustained performance grow, pay may progress within the range over time, with midpoint serving as a general reference point for employees who are fully proficient in the role.
