Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology or GIS from an accredited college or university (or equivalent).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving history per policy.
• Ability to handle customer and interdepartmental contacts.
• Satisfactorily pass validated aptitude exam identified by the Company.
• Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Promote extension or construction of electric facilities and obtain right-of-way.
• Advise customers on proper electric service applications.
• Prepare layouts of overhead/underground transmission facilities according to standards.
• Prepare cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with telecom groups for duct space leasing.
• Review network service submittals for compliance with specifications.
• Perform load studies and investigate outages to restore service.
• Design maintenance, expansions, rebuilds on network systems and undertakings.
• Design transmission and distribution underground installations and extensions.
• Open pad mounted equipment when trained and qualified.
• Utilize company systems to track customer service activities.
