Job summary

Arc is seeking a Test Engineer to own component, assembly, and vehicle-level prototype testing for electric boats. You will define test plans, instrument setups, execute tests, analyze data, and drive issues to closure with design and manufacturing teams.

You will help build Arc's test capability from scratch, shaping how hardware testing is performed across development and production stages. This is a hands-on, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aerospace or related engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience developing and testing electromechanical products.
• Basic proficiency with CAD and FEA software packages, preferably NX.
• Strong fundamentals of electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience configuring and operating data acquisition systems and instrumentation, and post-test data processing.

Responsibilities

• Own development and qualification testing of an electric boat (battery, powertrain, electrical, infotainment, software).
• Draft test procedures, instrumentation plans, schematics, and work instructions from scratch.
• Engineer test stands for development/qualification and production tests (shock, vibration, thermal, environmental, durability, dynamometer).
• Configure and implement data acquisition systems for objective data collection.
• Collaborate with vehicle engineers to define and execute test campaigns.
