Job summary

ISC Companies, a division of Weimer Bearing, seeks an Electrical Assembler to build and wire industrial control panels from schematics and prints in a day-shift, Monday–Friday role. You will read schematics, wire complex controls, and program VFDs/ PLCs, ensuring UL compliance and quality objectives.

Work in a team environment with in-house electrical engineers and designers, using shop tools and software to meet customer specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or 3 years on-the-job electrical experience required.
• Ability to read schematics and understand all symbols.
• Experience programming VFDs and PLCs.
• Proficient with shop tooling and computer software.
• Understand UL requirements for panel layouts and wiring.

Responsibilities

• Wire complex custom controls from prints with minimal supervision.
• Read and understand customer prints and schematics.
• Learn to program input parameters into different VFD brands and PLCs.
• Ensure panels meet UL requirements and perform testing.
• Assist others with tooling and software as needed.

Job description

The Electrical Assembler will use schematics, blueprints, wiring lists and other instructions to assemble and wire industrial control panels, wiring systems, electronic controllers, and custom assemblies. Work should be completed timely and accurately to meet our customer’s needs and quality objectives.

This is a Monday-Friday full-time, day-shift position, perfect for work/life balance.

ISC Automation provides custom industrial control solutions. We are a UL 508A/698A listed panel shop with in-house electrical engineers and designers experienced in drafting, building, programming, and supporting Industrial Control Panels (ICPs) for use in a variety of applications and working environments.

Electrical Assembler Job Responsibilities

• Wire complex custom controls using supplied prints and instructions with little to no supervision needed.
• Read and understand customer supplied prints.
• Read and understand schematics of various forms including all symbols and terminology.
• Learn and understand how to program input parameters into multiple brands of VFD’s.
• Understand all shop tooling and computer software and be able to assist others when needed.
• Understand UL requirements pertaining to panel layouts and wiring concepts to ensure all panels meet UL requirements.
• Perform control panel testing and supervise Electrical Assemblers when needed.
