We are looking to recruit an Electoral Services Data Officer to join our busy team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of an accurate, efficient and high-quality Electoral Services function. You will use your data management and analytical skills to help maintain the electoral register, support elections and referendums, and ensure electoral information is accurate, complete and up to date. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, a methodical approach and an interest in using data to support important statutory services. The role requires flexibility to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, during elections and peak periods. We believe work-life balance is very important. Democratic Services We play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the decision-making process of the Council, including support and advice to Councillors; PA, administrative and project management support to all service areas; facilitating elections; the communications team; translation and the Welsh Language policy officer. Our key functions include: + Corporate Service Support: PA and Administrative support; Business support including project management and minute taking. + Democratic Services: Councillors; Council, Cabinet, Overview and Scrutiny Committees and Regulatory Committees. + Electoral Services: General and local elections; Management of electoral register. + Communications Team: Manage communication activities corporately; support services in campaigns and projects; deal with the press and media; develop and issue press releases; manage social media pages. + Translation: Documents and simultaneous translation. + Welsh Language Standards: Operational; Policy making; Promotion; Monitoring; Service delivery.
