Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for Elective Services located at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center. The role involves serving as a scrub assistant, maintaining asepsis, and ensuring readiness of supplies for procedures across ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, and related areas.

Call is required. Minimum qualifications include graduation from a Surgical Technologist Program and NBSTSA/NCCT certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and NBSTSA or NCCT certification.

Responsibilities

• Acts as scrub assistant to surgeon in operative procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and ensures instrument readiness.
• Supports case flow and OR readiness for procedures.
• Adheres to hospital policies and participates in team training.
• Mentors less experienced staff and upholds patient safety standards.
