Job summary

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Surgery, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP) to join the General Surgery division in a fast-paced environment serving high-acuity inpatients, ER, and ICU. Role includes potential first assistant work in the OR and outpatient follow-up for general surgery patients.

The APP will coordinate care with physicians and navigators, enhance referral networks, and provide cross-coverage for colorectal and surgical oncology services as needed.

Qualifications

• RNFA certification or working toward RNFA.
• Three years of clinical experience preferred.
• APP/NP with surgical specialization advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in ER, inpatient, and ICU for high-acuity cases.
• Assist in the operating room as first assistant when required.
• Coordinate care with collaborating physicians and Patient Navigators.
• Develop referral networks for elective General Surgery and cross-cover Colorectal and Surgical Oncology services as needed.

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Surgery, has an immediate need for an APP to join our team in the Division of General Surgery.

A well-established General Surgery program with expanding volume and clinical services seeks an advanced practice provider APP (NP)

The opportunity to work in a fast-paced inpatient clinical environment, involving high-acuity patients in the emergency room, hospital and ICU, balanced with the potential for first assistant work in the operating room

Clinic/office practice component as well seeing elective General Surgery patients and postop/followup patients from the inpatient setting.

Additional responsibilities will include patient care coordination with collaborating physicians and Patient Navigators, improving referral networks for the elective General Surgery practice, and cross coverage for the Colorectal and Surgical Oncology services (elective cases and inpatient rounding/consults) when required.

The Nurse Practitioner works in a primary location (LLUMC-Murrieta) and may include secondary locations in surrounding areas. An APP's residence will be taken into considering when determining secondary locations.

Three years of experience is preferred.

Requirements: RNFA Certification or working towards RNFA Certification.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $130,000 - 180,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
