Job summary

Spokane County is seeking Election Worker 1 for supplemental (seasonal) duties in the Auditor's office. The role involves processing mail ballots, counting envelopes, and assisting with ballot review and paperwork. Training is provided and supervision is available as needed.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and may need a valid driver’s license for certain tasks. The position is supplemental with variable hours and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process mail ballot envelopes.
• Count and open envelopes.
• Review ballots and complete procedural paperwork.
• Night driving for picking up ballots from a drop box.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
