Job summary

Denton County is seeking a Technology Resources Coordinator to design and manage databases for election and voter registration. You will create ballot definitions, test systems, and generate detailed reports for elections results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in computer systems administration.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or government IT preferred.
• Local or state election experience preferred.
• CERA or REO certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license; TX license within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Create and code databases for election and voter registration systems.
• Configure backups and maintenance of election databases.
• Verify ballot codes integration from voter registration systems and test accuracy.
• Manage voter registration data transfers and verification from TEAM.
• Provide technical support and election analysis for contracted jurisdictions.
• Prepare ballot layouts and proofs; coordinate with contractors for corrections.
• Oversee tabulation and secure retention of election results.
• Produce reports from election results and voter data.
• Prepare archived reports and website viewing of results.
• Coordinate with IT and voting system vendors on upgrades and security.
• Respond to questions about elections operations and system integration.
• Ensure compliance with CJIS, HIPAA and information security policies.
