The North Slope Borough School District seeks a Temporary CSAC Election Worker to assist with Community School Advisory Committee elections at an assigned polling location. Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; experience in elections, clerical work, or customer service is helpful but not required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and neutrality throughout the election process.
• Ability to verify voters, count ballots, and follow procedures precisely.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at polling location at required time and remain until duties and tallying are complete.
• Maintain confidentiality of voters, ballots, and results.
• Greet voters and provide neutral voting process instructions.
• Verify voter identity and registration in records.
• Require voters to initial or sign next to their name before receiving a ballot.
• Provide CSAC ballots to eligible voters and ensure ballots are properly cast.
• Maintain security of ballots, registration books, and materials.
• Protect voter privacy while ballots are completed.
• Keep polling location organized and follow district instructions.
• Report questions or unusual situations to NSBSD election contact.
• Secure and tally ballots after polls close, and complete tally sheets.
• Return ballots and materials as directed by the District.
