Job summary

System Support in New York state is seeking a neurodiagnostic technologist to perform routine and long-term EEGs plus evoked potential studies. The role requires independent exam performance, careful data interpretation, and coordination with the neurology team.

The candidate should have at least a high school diploma and CPR certification, with preferred associate degree and board eligibility for R.EEG.T and R.EP.T. Experience of two years in EEG and EP is expected.

Job description

Independently performs neurodiagnostic procedures including both routine & long-term electroencephalograms (EEGs) and all modalities of evoked potential procedures under their scope of practice. Is knowledgeable in correct EEG, long-term monitoring (LTM), continuous (CEEG)/ICU monitoring, and evoked potential (EP) performance and recognition of clinically significant events and follows the facility’s policy and procedures. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of exams and communicates effectively with the neurologist and other staff members.
