Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking an EEG Technician to perform EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and long-term monitoring in a Neurology lab. You will assist the Neurologist and maintain the neurodiagnostic workstation while engaging with patients and families respectfully.

Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year EEG experience; BLS is required and several neurophysiology certifications (REEGT/REPT/CNIM) may be needed. On-site role with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or HSE or IEP certificate required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP END program preferred.
• 1 year EEG Tech experience required.
• BLS required; REEGT/REPT/CNIM certifications may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, Nerve Conduction Velocity testing and Long-Term Monitoring (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit).
• Assists Neurologist in maintaining Neurodiagnostic Laboratory and identifying abnormal neurological disorders.
• Records brain electrical activity to study epilepsy and localizing lesions.
• Promotes professional and respectful interactions with patients and families.

Responsibilities

Performs Electroencephalograms (EEGs), ambulatory EEGs, Nerve Conduction Velocity testing, Long-Term Monitoring (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) and, as authorized, neurological Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM). Records electrical activity of the patient's brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions in the cerebrum. Assists Neurologist in maintaining Neurodiagnostic Laboratory and identifying abnormal neurological disorders. Promotes professional and respectful interactions with patients and/or families.

Qualifications

• Education High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Associate's Degree preferred
• Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (END) program preferredExperience 1 year of EEG Tech experience requiredLicenses and Certifications
