Job summary

Dunwoody College of Technology is seeking a Part-time Electrical Teacher Aide to support instructors and students in lab and classroom settings. This role offers hands-on experience with electrical systems, tools, and instructional support for those pursuing a career in the electrical field.

You will assist with lab setup, maintain meters and test equipment, and help prepare students for performance exams in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical knowledge required.
• Proficient with electrical test equipment (multimeters).
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructors with lab and classroom setup.
• Maintain and repair meters and test equipment.
• Repair and maintain job boards.
• Set up for performance exams.
• Recycle and dispose of used wire.
• Order and track repair parts and materials.
• Perform basic carpentry as needed.
• Clean and organize lab spaces.
• Move and arrange classroom/lab furniture and equipment.

The Electrical Department is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Electrical Teacher Aide to support instructors and students in lab and classroom settings. This role offers hands-on experience with electrical systems, tools, and instructional support—ideal for students pursuing a career in the electrical field.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assisting instructors with lab and classroom setup
• Maintaining and repairing meters and test equipment
• Repairing and maintaining job boards
• Setting up for performance exams
• Recycling and disposing of used wire
• Ordering and tracking repair parts and materials
• Performing basic carpentry tasks when needed
• Cleaning and organizing lab spaces
• Moving and setting up classroom/lab furniture and equipment
