Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a skilled technician to support cement plant operations. You will locate spare parts in the storeroom using the CMMS, and troubleshoot electrical drives, motors, and instrumentation while reading schematics and using PLC tools.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, are eligible to work in the United States, and can pass an Electrical/PLC test. The role requires shift work and offers a starting rate of $40.61 per hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Use the storeroom system to locate spare parts and input work order requests into the CMMS.
• Operate plant mobile equipment and troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, starters, breakers, disconnects, electrical interlocks, temperature and pressure transmitters, and similar devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and electronic circuits, use PLC and PC programs, read blueprints and schematic designs, and select and use proper tools and measuring devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
• Familiarity with cement process flow and equipment functions; electrical, mechanical and plant safety rules; computer hardware; safe rigging techniques; plant power distribution and AC/DC circuits; different lubrication requirements of plant equipment.
• Successful candidate must work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires qualification received from either an approved Electrical Training Program or other institution.
• Candidate must take and pass a written Electrical and PLC test.
• Rate $40.61/hr and up, depending on scoring of Electrical and PLC test.
