Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician to manage storeroom parts, enter work orders in the CMMS, and operate plant equipment. The role requires troubleshooting motors, transformers, and electrical drives, with proficiency in reading schematics and PLC/PC programs.

The candidate must have an Electrical Training Program qualification and be willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. Competitive pay starts at $40.61 per hour and varies with test performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate storeroom system to locate spare parts and input work orders into the CMMS.
• Operate plant mobile equipment and troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, starters, breakers, disconnects, electrical interlocks, temperature/pressure transmitters and related devices.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and electronic circuits, use PLC/PC programs, read blueprints and schematic designs, and select/use proper tools and measuring devices.

• Operate plant mobile equipment and have the ability to troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, starters, breakers, disconnects, electrical interlocks, temperature and pressure transmitters and similar devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and electronic circuits, use PLC and PC programs, read blueprints and schematic designs, as well as select and use proper tools and measuring devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required
• Familiarity with the following is preferred: cement process flow and equipment functions; electrical, mechanical and plant safety rules; computer hardware; safe rigging techniques; plant power distribution and AC/DC circuits; different lubrication requirements of plant equipment.
• Successful candidate must work shifts, weekends and holidays
• Requires qualification received from either an approved Electrical Training Program or other institution
• Candidate must take and pass a written Electrical and PLC test
• Rate $40.61hr and up, depends on scoring of Electrical and PLC test.
