Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to locate spare parts in the storeroom system, input work orders into the CMMS, and support daily plant operations across multiple sites.

You will operate plant mobile equipment, troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, PLCs, read blueprints, and use appropriate tools and measuring devices while adhering to safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful candidate must work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Requires qualification from an Electrical Training Program or other institution and must pass the Electrical/PLC test.

Responsibilities

• Locate spare parts in the storeroom system and input work orders into the CMMS.
• Operate plant mobile equipment and troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, starters, and related devices.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and electronic circuits, read blueprints and schematics, and use proper tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for using the storeroom system to locate spare parts and inputting work order requests into the CMMS.
• Operate plant mobile equipment and have the ability to troubleshoot motors, transformers, electrical drives, starters, breakers, disconnects, electrical interlocks, temperature and pressure transmitters and similar devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and electronic circuits, use PLC and PC programs, read blueprints and schematic designs, as well as select and use proper tools and measuring devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required
• Familiarity with the following is preferred: cement process flow and equipment functions; electrical, mechanical and plant safety rules; computer hardware; safe rigging techniques; plant power distribution and AC/DC circuits; different lubrication requirements of plant equipment.
• Successful candidate must work shifts, weekends and holidays
• Requires qualification received from either an approved Electrical Training Program or other institution
• Candidate must take and pass a written Electrical and PLC test
• Rate $40.61hr and up, depends on scoring of Electrical and PLC test.
