Job summary

Door Controls USA in Texas is seeking an Electronics Bench Technician to diagnose and repair analog and digital PCB boards at the component level, ensuring quality and traceable documentation.

You will use a multimeter, perform soldering/desoldering, and support the returns process. A circuitry certificate or higher and at least 2 years of PCB troubleshooting are required; surface mount experience is preferred. This role offers full-time employment and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient use of a multimeter.

• Surface mount devices highly preferred.
• PCB troubleshooting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems with the PCB circuit board.
• Complete daily log sheets for each PCB repaired.
• When an R&R is handed to technicians, prioritize it with a 24-hour repair goal.
• Process Return for Credit & Warranties and complete paperwork.
• Fill out order sheets for bench components to prevent stockouts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary: Electronics Bench Technician is to diagnose & repair analog & digital PCB boards down to the component level.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Diagnose problems with the PCB circuit board.
• Complete in a legible manner the daily log sheets for each PCB board repaired.
• When an R&R is turned over to technicians it is to take priority over all other repairs as we have twenty-four hours to make the repairs, if parts are needed technician is to notify supervisor or leadsperson immediately.
• Process Return for Credit & Warranties as next control built, & complete paperwork as stated above.
• Responsible for filling out order sheet for bench components in a timely manner so bench does not run out of supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong time management.
• Proficient use of a multimeter.
• Proficient ability to solder/desolder.
• Experience in Surface mount preferred.

Education & Experience:

Circuitry certificate, Associate Degree, or Higher.

At least 2 years’ experience of troubleshooting PCBs.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a workbench.
