Job summary

ABB's Mebane, NC facility is seeking a Warehouse/Internal Logistics Supervisor to lead shift operations, optimize flow, and ensure on-time delivery. You will provide feedback to management, adjust staffing, and coordinate resources across production lines.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, 5S, PPE, forklift and crane experience, and the ability to work on-site in the US. The position offers growth opportunities within ABB's distributed solutions team and a focus on safe, efficient

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of 5S: sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain.
• Ability to safely use PPE and operate lifting devices.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing feedback to management and recommends improvements related to production line performance, organization, shifting priorities, and emerging critical issues.
• Supports management in executing staffing adjustments due to vacations, illnesses, equipment outages, or shifting production needs.
• Reinforces team focus on achieving production volume targets, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Assists management and shift teams with resource allocation, coordination of shift orders, and oversight of work plan execution across production lines.
• Serves as the shift leader, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely resolution of technical, quality, and logistical issues.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC

Your role and responsibilities:

• Provides ongoing feedback to management and recommends improvements related to production line performance, organization, shifting priorities, and emerging critical issues.

Qualifications for the role:

• 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of 5S – sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain
• Knowledge and use of necessary PPE
• Ability to use cranes or other lifting devices, as needed
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
• Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language
• Basic computer skills to be able to look up parts.
• Ability to maintain accurate hand–eye coordination and utilize both hands safely and efficiently.
• Forklift operation required, including readiness to complete training on various forklift types.
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required
