Job summary

ABB in the United States seeks an experienced Planning and Fulfillment leader to develop S&OP, manage inventory, and optimize resource allocation. This onsite role reports to the Business Manager - Operations and focuses on reducing lead times and improving cash flow.

You will deploy best-practice planning processes across units, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive end-to-end delivery improvements to support the ABB strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or similar).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, logistics, materials management, or fulfillment operations.
• Proven experience (≥2 years) establishing common operating standards for Planning & Fulfillment across multiple manufacturing units.
• Strong understanding of ETO business and the end-to-end delivery value chain.
• Experience leading change and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate, and implement planning and fulfillment strategies aligned with the business strategy.
• Deploy and improve S&OP and inventory management best-practice processes across units in line with the strategy.
• Lead end-to-end process optimization to reduce lead times, inventory, and improve on-time delivery and value chain visibility.

This position reports to: Business Manager - Operations

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory management, resource allocation, and short-term planning processes. Each day, you will design and deploy strategies, best practices, and solutions for the Planning and Fulfillment function. You will also showcase your expertise by optimizing businesses' net working capital.

The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Developing, communicating, and implementing planning and fulfillment strategies aligned with the business strategy.


• Implementing the deployment and improvement of S&OP and inventory management best practice processes across all units in line with the business area/division strategy.


• Leading and developing end-to-end process optimization to reduce overall end‑to‑end lead times, inventory, including Sales in Excess of invoicing, and customer on‑time delivery, improving fulfillment and value chain visibility.


• Identifying opportunities where Planning and Fulfillment can contribute value to other functions and look for processes within other functions that can improve the performance of Planning and Fulfillment.
