Job summary

Griswold Home Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver for non-medical elderly care and companionship. You will assist with daily tasks, housekeeping, meal prep, and accompany clients to errands, ensuring dignity and independence in familiar surroundings.

Responsibilities include transferring, reporting health changes, assisting with bathing and dressing, and documenting each shift. Competitive pay and flexible, recurring 4-hour shifts support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Three 4 hour shifts (Mon, Wed, Fri)
• Be at least 18 years of age
• At least 2+ years of related caregiving experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Personal vehicle with current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift 50 LBS

Responsibilities

• Transferring and positioning the client
• Observing and reporting changes in physical and mental conditions
• Skin care - assist in applying over the counter lotions to prevent dry skin
• Clean and maintain medical equipment - power wheelchair, hospital bed, shower chair, and Hoyer lift
• Accompaniment of client to grocery, doctors appointment, or pharmacy runs
