Job summary

VenVisor Health in Statesville, NC is seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to provide on-site care in long-term care settings. This full-time role offers meaningful patient relationships and collaborative care with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include exams, managing chronic and acute conditions, developing care plans, prescribing medications, and educating residents and families about treatment options. Licensure in NC and LTC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted NP/PA/MD license
• North Carolina license in good standing
• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care
• Strong communication, clinical and critical thinking skills
• Passion for elder care and person-centered healthcare
• Prolonged standing/walking; lifting up to 20 lbs; computer use

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities
• Perform physical exams and medical history assessments
• Diagnose and treat chronic and acute health conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
• Collaborate with facility staff and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and care goals
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents
