Job summary

TEEMA seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant Float for a full-time, clinic-facing contract in North Hollywood. You will perform vital signs, specimen collection, and wound care while supporting specialists and maintaining Athena EHR documentation.

Requirements include 2+ years MA experience with frail or elderly patients, BLS certification, and reliable transportation to the North Hollywood clinic. This on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting serving frail or elderly populations.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Willingness and ability to commute to a clinic-facing role in North Hollywood, CA.

Responsibilities

Perform patient intake, prep exam rooms, check in/out, and obtain medical histories.
Measure and document vital signs and assist with pre-exam screenings.
Under physician supervision, conduct basic procedures including wound care and routine COVID testing.
Collect and process lab specimens; sterilize equipment according to safety guidelines.
Support visiting specialists by preparing patients and updating charts in Athena EHR.
Assist with calendar management and maintain clinic supply logs.
