CommCare Corporation in Lake Charles, LA, seeks a Housekeeping Homemaker to support residents in Calcasieu Community Care Center. You will perform housekeeping in resident rooms and common areas, assist with meal prep and laundry, and collaborate with care teams to maintain a safe, clean living environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, demonstrates patience and compassion, and communicates effectively with residents, families, and staff.

• Participates in preparation of food and handling to ensure sanitation and safety.
• Ensures that diets are served as prescribed by making only authorized substitutions.
• Preparing meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures.
• Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items.
• Performs day-to-day housekeeping functions in resident rooms and common areas in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Identifies plans and incorporates residents' daily pleasures and interests into household life based upon recommendations from families and friends.
• Distribute clean laundry, linen, and garments daily.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

• · High school diploma or equivalent.
• · Provide patience and compassion when working with residents and family members.
• · Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and team members.
• · Strong attention to detail.
• · Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations.

Other Qualifications

• · Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
• · Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
• · Capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
• · Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.
