Job summary

Nisqually Indian Tribe seeks an Elder Care/APS Manager to lead daily operations of Elder Care and Adult Protective Services, ensuring protection of vulnerable elders and adults. The role focuses on partnerships, training, and wrap-around services to promote wellness and independent living within the tribal community.

The Manager ensures confidentiality, accuracy of records, and strong client service while coordinating with tribal programs and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in relevant field and required direct management experience.
• Experience leading, managing and supervising staff.
• Experience with budgets, policy implementation, compliance and reporting.
• Working understanding of tribal laws and adult protective services guidelines.
• Experience with vulnerable populations including adults and children.
• Must pass background checks and driver’s license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Elder Care/APS Service Programs, including staff supervision and budget oversight.
• Develop annual strategic plan aligned with Nisqually Tribe mission.
• Create and maintain policies that align with tribal and federal laws.
• Manage grants and contracts for compliant service delivery.
• Assess community needs and adapt programs accordingly.
• Foster partnerships with Tribal, federal, state, and local agencies.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in documentation.
• Provide guidance and training for staff on trauma-informed care.
