Job summary

The Franklin County Department of Human Resources seeks a Case Manager for Adult Protective Services to respond to referrals of suspected elder abuse and to develop and implement safety plans in line with applicable laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities include field investigations, assessing client needs, coordinating with community resources, documenting case records, and assisting with court-related processes such as testifyings and restraining orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license.
• One year of social work experience or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate elder abuse referrals and develop safety plans.
• Assess client status and collaborate with professionals to coordinate services.
• Refer clients to community resources and advocate for needed supports.
• Document case records, prepare summaries, reports, and court-related materials.
• Prepare clients for testifying; assist in obtaining restraining orders when needed.
• Orient and train new staff and participate in continuing education.
