J&Y Law, a plaintiff-side Elder Abuse and Personal Injury firm based in Los Angeles, seeks an experienced Elder Abuse Attorney to join our expanding team in Century City, CA. The role focuses on managing elder abuse and PI litigation, developing case strategy, drafting pleadings, and guiding depositions through trial readiness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant litigation experience, Elder Abuse background preferred, and must be admitted to the State Bar of California.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 5+ years of relevant litigation experience preferred.
• Elder Abuse litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Plaintiff-side experience preferred, though qualified defense attorneys are encouraged to apply.
• Personal Injury litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Elder Abuse and Personal Injury litigation matters.
• Develop case strategy from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Draft complaints, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Prepare mediation, arbitration, and trial briefs.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Review medical records and other case evidence.
• Work with experts and other professionals as necessary.
• Evaluate damages and settlement opportunities.
• Negotiating settlements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients.
• Meet court, discovery, and internal deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and support staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members when appropriate.
• Genuine passion for advocating for injured individuals and their families.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate has5+ years of relevant litigation experience, with direct Elder Abuse experience strongly preferred.

Candidates should be comfortable managing cases, developing litigation strategy, appearing in court, taking and defending depositions, participating in mediations and arbitrations, and preparing matters for trial.

You must be admitted to theState Bar of California and able to travel throughout California as necessary for court appearances, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.

Attorneys with strong Elder Abuse experience who need additional exposure to Personal Injury matters are encouraged to apply.We can provide training in Personal Injury law.

Key Responsibilities
