Job summary

Mechanicsburg Area School District is seeking an ELD Instructional Assistant at Broad Street Elementary School, effective immediately. This is a full-time position during the school year with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers and students, supporting small groups, and adapting materials for individual learners, while performing routine clerical duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with typing ability and basic computer skills.
• Experience working with children in instructional settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Chapter 14 requires two years postsecondary study or an associate degree or higher, or equivalent assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional assistance to teachers and students.
• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assists with adapting instructional materials for specific students.
• Performs clerical duties as needed.
