Findlay YMCA Cory-Rawson location is seeking a Lead Teacher in our preschool room (830a-530p) to provide high-quality early childhood education in line with YMCA values.

You will plan daily lessons, maintain licensing and Step Up to Quality, document assessments, and communicate with families and staff; collaborate with the center director to support Teacher Assistants.

Qualifications

The Lead Teacher is directly responsible for: planning and carrying out daily lesson plans, maintaining program licensing and Step Up to Quality standards in the classroom, assessment/documentation for Step Up to Quality, and effectively communicating with parents, ELC personnel, children, and center guests daily. Lead Teachers will work cooperatively with the center director to provide day to day guidance to the Teacher Assistants.## Qualifications**QUALIFICATIONS:**1. An understanding and knowledge of children, their behavior and development. 2. Specific knowledge in developmentally appropriate practices for the age group. 3. Must have or enroll in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and Prevention of Infectious Diseases. 4. Warm and friendly personality and the desire to work directly with young children. 5. Must have a minimum of an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA or Career Pathways Level 3 and provide transcripts 6. Meet ODJFS licensing qualifications in training and background check. 7. Create and maintain profile on the Ohio Professional Development Network within 30 days 8.
