YMCA of Central Stark County (Ohio) is seeking a Full Time Hourly Lead Teacher for the Gibbs Community Learning Center (Infant - Pre-K). The role designs daily lessons, ensures child safety, and guides a classroom team with ongoing observations.

Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, paid disability, life insurance, retirement matching, and generous vacation and sick time.

Responsibilities

FULL TIME HOURLY LEAD TEACHER INFANT - PRE K @ GIBBS COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in education or related field or CPL level 3 or above preferred (CDA accepted)

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Early childhood classroom experience, including lesson planning & conducting assessments
• Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice

Position Description

• Conducts parent conferences, and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents
• Maintains classroom and program equipment
• Maintains required program records
• Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training
• Maintains training in First aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Abuse Awareness as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year. (trainings provided by YMCA and affiliates)
