Job summary

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking an Elbow Bend Trainee to join the team responsible for fabrication, shaping, bending, and assembly of metal products for aircraft applications. The position requires the ability to perform essential duties with accuracy and safety, and offers different shift options with a differential.

The ideal candidate will have a one-year certificate or equivalent, with 3–6 months of related training or experience.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto workpiece
• Sets up and operates benders
• Cuts, deburrs, and sizes bent tubes to verify conformity using fixtures or mylars as needed
• Positions, aligns, and fits parts together
• Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications
• Fabricates and assembles tubing metal products
• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
• Lifts up to 25 pounds as needed
• Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus
• Other duties as assigned
