Job summary

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is seeking an Elbow Bend Trainee to join the team. This role focuses on fabrication, shaping, bending, and assembly of metal products used in aircraft applications, performing duties with attention to quality and safety.

Two shifts are available: 1st shift 6:45am–3:15pm and 2nd shift 3:15pm–1:45am with a $1.00 shift differential. The position requires a 1-year certificate or 3–6 months related training, and offers benefits including 401(k) and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations - One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto workpiece
• Sets up and operates benders
• Cuts, deburrs, and sizes bent tubes to verify conformity using fixtures or mylars as needed
• Positions, aligns, and fits parts together
• Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications
• Fabricates and assembles tubing metal products
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education
