Job summary

AMMEGA seeks a Junior Chemist in Beacon, NY to research and improve rubber formulations, test materials, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will report to the Director of Product Engineering and collaborate with manufacturing and quality to meet customer expectations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering, strong English communication, and a technical background.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Understanding of cultural differences in global environment.
  • Technical background in chemistry or polymers.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical point of contact and provide agile responses to questions.
  • Assist with R&D projects.
  • Design and develop elastomer materials (NR, SBR, CR, NBR, IIR) and adhesive systems for bonding to fabric substrates.
  • Utilize lab equipment to fabricate and evaluate developed materials.
  • Prepare test reports and Product Data Sheets.
  • Liaise with inter-company departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to regulatory compliance requests (REACH, RoHS, FDA).
  • Other duties as assigned.
