Job summary

A well-established manufacturing company in California is seeking a Rubber Chemist to act as Technical Material Leader and Customer Liaison. This full-time role involves developing rubber compound formulations, coordinating with sales, and managing lab operations. The ideal candidate should have 3-10 years of experience in product manufacturing, strong communication skills, and a BS in Chemical Engineering. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Qualifications

  • 3-10 years of experience in mixing and product manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience in both organic and silicon compounding is necessary.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Manage the lab, including hiring, termination or other disciplinary actions, policy enforcement, support, guidance and leadership.
  • Ideal candidate will possess 3–10 years in mixing and product manufacturing including experience with organic and silicon compounds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and write rubber compound formulations as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Work closely with sales to determine customer needs and recommend materials.
  • Manage the lab, including hiring and policy enforcement.
  • Submit materials for inclusion onto customer QPL’s
  • Work with Sales and Engineering to review materials and testing requirements
  • Participate and work closely with customers to fulfill customer requirements in material selections as well as requirements definition
  • Act as liaison with industry related organizations and governing bodies to assure that interests are considered in resulting actions
  • Manage the lab, including hiring, termination or other disciplinary actions, policy enforcement, support, guidance and leadership

Our esteemed client has an exciting opportunity for a Rubber Chemist in a well-established manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Act as company Technical Material Leader and Customer Technical Liaison.

  • Develop/write rubber compound formulations as needed to meet customer requirements
  • Work closely with sales/estimating to determine customer requirements and recommend proper materials
  • Work with outside mixers to coordinate their effort for same
  • Submit materials for inclusion onto customer QPL’s
  • Work with Sales and Engineering to review materials and testing requirements
  • Participate and work closely with customers as required to fulfill customer requirements in material selections as well as requirements definition.
  • Act as liaison with industry related organizations and governing bodies to assure that interests are considered in resulting actions
  • Manage the lab, including hiring, termination or other disciplinary actions, policy enforcement, support, guidance and leadership.

Ideal candidate will possess at least 3-10yrs. experience in mixing and product manufacturing environment including experience in both organic and well as silicon compounding. Must have good communications skills and be highly organized.

BS in Chemical Engineering or related field is desired.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
