Job summary

Parker Lord offers an internship program designed to develop future engineers with hands-on experience in coatings and adhesives. You will work under supervision on challenging projects, delivering practical results while growing technically and personally through mentorship and real-world experience.

You will assist in chemical synthesis, product formulation, testing, data analysis, and documentation, gaining exposure to product development and technical service initiatives within Parker Lord.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or better.
• Enrolled in Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science or related degree program.
• Strong leadership skills and a proactive attitude.
• Strong technical aptitude and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
• Strong innovation and creative thinking, self-motivated.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information.
• Detail oriented individual with organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• With direct supervision, you will learn and perform the various aspects of the function by:
• Acquiring knowledge of various department's operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow.
• Observing work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands‑on projects and/or special assignments.
• Maintaining communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
• Attending related training and applying it in work assignments.
• Performing other related responsibilities.
