Job summary

Parker Hannifin is offering an engineering internship program designed to develop future leaders in technology and manufacturing. Interns will tackle challenging issues, gain practical experience, and contribute to new product developments in adhesives and coatings.

You will work on product application testing, lab evaluations of prototypes, data analysis, and documentation, while being mentored by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or better.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related degree program.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support technical service and application development initiatives for new product developments and commercialized Parker LORD adhesives and coatings.
• Perform product application and performance testing; conduct lab evaluations of prototype formulations using DOE protocols.
• Conduct physical property testing, sample prep, digital microscopy, data mining and statistical analysis; prepare technical docs and reports.

You will be responsible for providing support to various technical service and application development initiatives for new product developments and commercialized Parker LORD adhesives and coatings. Daily work will include product application and performance testing; lab evaluations of prototype formulations using design of experiment protocols; physical property testing; sample preparation; digital microscopy; data mining, statistical analysis and the preparation of technical documentation/reports.

Responsibilities

• Acquiring knowledge of various department’s operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow.
• Observing work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands‑on projects and/or special assignments.
• Maintaining communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
• Attending related training and applying it in work assignments.
• Performing other related responsibilities.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or better
• Being enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related degree program.
