Leidos invites applications for an Elasticsearch Systems Engineer (SME) to support a large enterprise Elasticsearch deployment in a DevSecOps environment. The role encompasses design, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting in both AWS cloud and on-prem environments, collaborating with architecture, engineering, development and operations to ensure production scalability and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Elasticsearch Administration.
• Direct experience maintaining and integrating Elasticsearch within an operational enterprise information system.
• Experience in an Agile development environment and tempo.
• Experience deploying and using Elasticsearch in Commercial Cloud Platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Masters with 15+ years of relevant experience or a PhD with 13+ years of relevant experience.
• Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• TS/SCI with Poly is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Elasticsearch clusters in a cloud-based environment across multiple availability zones.
• Ensure Elasticsearch clusters run under optimal conditions.
• Evaluate and optimize Elasticsearch clusters, including configuration, indexing, search, performance tuning, security, and administration.
• Maintenance of infrastructure to ensure performance and data integrity.
• Keep Elasticsearch clusters upgraded as permitted by the applications.
