Job summary
Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an Elastic Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support a high-visibility federal engagement focused on observability, platform reliability, and security operations across classified environments. You will deploy and optimize Elastic Stack at Langley AFB, VA, and work with DevOps and security teams to ensure mission-critical performance.
The candidate should have 5+ years in SRE/DevOps, deep Elastic Stack expertise, strong Kubernetes (ECK), Linux, and experience in
Qualifications
- 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or infra ops.
- Hands-on Elastic Stack in production.
- Advanced Kubernetes deployments (ECK).
- Experience in secure/regulatory federal environments.
Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize large-scale Elastic Stack environments.
- Ensure platform reliability, uptime and performance.
- Manage Kubernetes Elastic deployments with ECK.
- Automate deployment workflows, monitoring and incident response.
- Integrate Elastic with SIEM/EDR and telemetry systems.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems and production environments.
- Implement observability with logging, metrics, tracing and monitoring.
- Contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
- Maintain runbooks and documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
