Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an Elastic Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support a high-visibility federal engagement focused on observability, platform reliability, and security operations across classified environments. SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED.

The role is based on-site at Langley AFB, VA. You will operate large-scale Elastic Stack deployments, manage Kubernetes-based environments with ECK, and develop automation for deployments, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE/DevOps or infrastructure operations.
• Strong Elastic Stack experience in enterprise environments.
• Advanced Kubernetes experience including ECK deployments.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with observability, telemetry, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience in secure, classified, federal, or regulated environments.
• Onsite work at Langley AFB (VA).

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and optimize Elastic Stack environments for logging and observability.
• Ensure platform reliability, uptime, and performance for production systems.
• Manage Kubernetes Elastic deployments (ECK).
• Develop automations for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Integrate Elastic with SIEM and security tooling (Splunk, EDR, etc.).
• Troubleshoot distributed systems across infrastructure and apps.
• Support observability frameworks (logs, metrics, tracing).
• Assist CI/CD pipelines and IaC initiatives in DevOps.
