Job summary

Stanley Reid & Company is seeking an Elastic Search Engineer for a TS/SCI + CI poly role in Bethesda, MD. The position supports a cutting-edge DIA-NMEC DOMEX Tech Platform, building and deploying NoSQL databases within a Kubernetes-based microservice environment.

Hybrid work arrangements apply after an initial period. Candidates must hold a TS/SCI with CI poly and be ready to work on DoD/IC projects; the salary range reflects experience and clearance level.

Qualifications

• Current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification (or higher) such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CCNA Security, or CISSP (or Associate).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms such as EKS, Rancher, or RKE2.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Keycloak, Redis, Strimzi.
• Experience hardening databases to comply with NIST 800-53 security controls.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and operational tooling (UNIX shell, Perl, or similar).
• Experience with Helm Chart templating and ArgoCD.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain NoSQL databases within a Kubernetes-based microservice ecosystem.
• Support the adoption of GitOps practices across cross-functional engineering teams.
• Contribute to platform engineering initiatives for the DIA-NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform.
