Job summary

Stanley Reid & Company is sourcing a DevOps Engineer with TS/SCI + CI poly for a Bethesda hybrid role supporting a DoD platform. You will design, deploy, and maintain a containerized microservices stack while performing systems administration and secure configuration tasks.

The ideal candidate holds DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification and can obtain PUA under DoD policy. Expect collaboration on Kubernetes-based deployments with ArgoCD, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification.
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) per DoD 8570 policy.
• Extensive experience with container orchestration and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD and code quality/coverage reporting.
• Strong scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python; Java/Groovy is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana; OpenTelemetry.

Our client is seeking a TS/SCI + CI poly cleared DevOps Engineer to join a high‑energy team building and deploying a cutting‑edge technology stack in support of the DIA‑NMEC (National Media Exploitation Center) DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). As a DevOps Engineer you will contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a full stack containerized micro services architecture as well as technical systems administration, installation, and configuration.

Qualified DevOps Engineer must have the below skills:

• Possess at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP (or Associate)
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy
• Experienced with container/container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes and troubleshooting experience with:
  • Ingress/Gateway API
  • Multi-tenant GPU sharing
  • Helm chart design/build
  • Familiarity with external-secrets, ArgoCD, cert-manager, eck (elastic search)
• GitLab pipeline development experience including Integration of GitLab CI/CD components, Code Quality reports, and Code Coverage/Test reports
• Experience with development, i.e., Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.
• Kubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/ Grafana, Open Telemetry
• SALT for deployment automation
• Nexus

This work is located in Bethesda, MD and will allow for hybrid work once role is established. Candidates must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI + CI poly level government clearance.

Salary for this role is between $107,900 - $195,050, depending on experience, clearance level, location, and contract requirements.
