Job summary

JCS Solutions LLC is seeking an Elastic Data Engineer to support DoD cybersecurity operations. You will design, maintain, and optimize data ingestion and analytics pipelines using the Elastic Stack to enable threat detection, incident response, and governance across multiple data sources.

Based in Aldelphi, MD, this role requires an active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one. You will work with cybersecurity telemetry, implement data quality controls, and collaborate with analysts to

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines using Elastic Stack and related tools.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
• Strong Python, SQL, and Linux scripting skills for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with structured/unstructured data, JSON/XML/CSV, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ability to collaborate with cybersecurity analysts and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize data ingestion and analytics pipelines using Elastic Stack.
• Parse, transform, normalize, and enrich data from multiple enterprise sources.
• Develop data schemas, mappings, and ECS alignment for security telemetry.
• Support near-real-time data ingestion and incident-response analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver threat detection and reporting dashboards.
