Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated teacher to lead core content instruction across multiple grades. You will deliver live and asynchronous lessons, set up courses, monitor progress, and communicate regularly with families.

Qualifications

• Current teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels.
• Relentlessly work to meet goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state-specific academic accountability goals.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need, using research-based instructional practices.
• Complete course setup for each course in the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grades daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports of Students.
• Review student data to inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students' needs.
• Apply research-based best practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment for all students.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate 21st century technology into daily practice and team settings.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities such as events and field trips in person.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
• Ability to properly manage confidential information
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
