• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.

The position involves two shifts: morning shift involves replenishing product as instructed by the manager, and assisting customers throughout the shift. Maintaining cleanliness of the department is also required.

The environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, involving physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling. For more details, refer to the complete Job Description available in the store.

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to food preparation, handling, and serving.
