Job summary

The Sobrato Philanthropies seeks a Program Officer to advance the English Learner (EL) Program in California, focusing on strategy implementation, grantmaking, monitoring, and learning. You will partner with state and local education stakeholders to drive systemic change for ELs and help tell the program story internally and externally.

Based in the San Francisco area, this role collaborates with grantees and team members to deploy evidence-based narratives and measure progress toward impact

Qualifications

• Experience in education reform or policy for ELs.
• Knowledge of California policy environment.
• Experience with grantmaking and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Support statewide grantmaking strategy development and implementation.
• Monitor, evaluate, and learn from program activities to track impact.
