Job summary

Township High School District 214 Community Education Foundation is seeking an Anticipated Instructional Assistant-Student Services (RMHS) at Rolling Meadows High School. This 26.25 hours/week, 10-month assignment begins August 10, 2026, with an internal closing date of July 19, 2026.

The role supports licensed teachers, works with students, staff and families, and helps implement specialized programs. Strong paraprofessional qualifications and computer proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain State and NCLB Approved Paraprofessional designation in accordance with Illinois State Board of Education requirements.
• Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies up to 50 lbs and assist students as needed.
• Must sit at workstation for extended periods or move frequently around the building.
• Must organize and prioritize workflow and be proficient with computers and office equipment.
• Must project a positive image and communicate clearly with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist students under licensed staff by implementing classroom procedures and reinforcing positive behavior.
• Monitor and administer assessments as needed and reinforce organizational and note-taking skills.
• Grade materials for immediate feedback and demonstrate use of technology for instruction and remediation.
• Help students achieve IEP goals and assist with non-medical physical needs as required.
• Develop knowledge of software usage to support staff and students and learn school technology.
