Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a PRN EKG Technician to support clinical teams with accurate EKGs, patient care, and documentation. You will collaborate with colleagues, verify practitioner orders, and operate medical equipment efficiently while providing courteous service.

Required: excellent customer service, EKG recognition, ability to read and perform basic math; Preferred: BLS/CPR certification and related credentials may be considered.

Job Description

PRN: $18.45/HR + SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS

Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth operations. Checks practitioner orders for accuracy and clarifies with offices, floors, or physicians as needed. Provides excellent customer service and ensures effective communication among all caregivers. Performs EKGs accurately and efficiently. Maintains all equipment in proper working order. Completes delegated daily, weekly, and monthly tasks promptly. Interacts with patients and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Ensures timely and accurate documentation of all tasks and procedures. Assists with patient care activities as needed. Participates in ongoing training and development to maintain skills and knowledge. Supports quality improvement initiatives within the department. Other duties as assigned.
